Thing is, e-verify has no effect on people who never intend to work. Cracking down on visa overstays has no effect on people who had no visa to begin with.

That's where we are as a country folks. The wall is absolutely necessary.

Pretty much. I dont doubt trump or his supporters desire for a wall. But there is no way he is going to sneak in a multi year, multi billion dollar endeavor with financial shell games. Its going to require congressional support, of which there is little. Given he couldnt promote his now-popular tax cuts beyond a one vote majority in the senate, i doubt he’ll have the political cunning to achieve that support.

And, even if he somehow does, the next task is acquiring the land on which to build. That will be a tall ask that will be locked up in litigation for years. If i recall correctly, there are still multiple lawsuits pending resolution from W’s years and his border fence endeavors.

It just isnt going to happen, but its a cool slogan to chant at rallies and it really irks the libs.
