Is it that simple for you? Exactly how much do you expect the federal government to do for you as a citizen?

Deficit only matters when the other side is in charge.

When you get out in the real world and get a paycheck you’ll understand. If the government wants to take less of my money i’m Good.

Hey assholes how bout you debate the kid instead of calling him names. This is the problem in today's society everyone is too afraid to leave their echo chambers and hear opposing views. At least this kid has the balls to come to a board that thinks different than him while everyone else on here just circlejerks each other

I’m about to graduate from LSU with a next December with degree in Poli Sci and a concentration in Government and Policy and sights on a tier one law school,
Congratulations! In a few more years, and with a little luck, you may get a good enough understanding of economics to answer your own question.

I want the federal government to do about three things: protect the country militarily, reduce spending, and cut taxes. This is one of those things.
Education, Infrastucture, or Environmental Protection doesn’t matter?

The only things I want from government are to support the defense of the nation, quit wasting my money and stay out of my business.

You're going to have to crack 170 to even sniff a T15. Well unless you're black. Are you black?

Forgive my naivety on conservative policy, but can anyone convince me why this tax bill is a good thing in any way? To me, all it seems like is Trump selling his base a piece of legislation that will only hurt them and their children in the long run along with a massive hole in the deficit to be blown that doesn’t sound like something conservatives and tea party members would be excited about.
Spend any amount of time dealing with a government agency, and you will understand how bloated, redundant, and utterly useless most government agencies are. They are filled to the brim with useless people, doing useless things, all over the country.
The key to reducing debt is reducing government waste.

I didn’t expect much; but I know there’s someone that can actually give me something other than the same trickle-down politics theory from the 60s that eventually drove us into an Economic depression towards the end of the Bush Presidency

Show us the Constitutional arguments for such. Everything NOT enumerated in the US Constitution is to be left up to the states.
The states can choose to collectively or separately undertake Infrastructure and Environment to their hearts desire. It's not the place of FedGov to do so.

The federal government has done nothing for education. They more they throw at it the worse it gets. They also waste tons of money on infrastructure and environmental policy. The government gives contracts to the lowest bidder. That usually means substandard work and tons of waste when things have to be redone.
As for the environment, as soon as Trump pulled out of the accords a bunch of private companies said, “fine we’ll protect the environment ourselves.” GOOD!! Just proves government doesn’t need to be overly involved.
