Actually it is because these companies are part of massive multinational conglomerates that consist of dozens of brands.
Dollar Shave is part of Unilever. Harry's has been angling to sell to Schick (who is part of Edgewell). Gillete is part of Procter and Gamble.
These conglomerates are so massive that they in fact, do not give a shite about pissing off customers with one constituent brand. They know that those boycotting customers will often unknowingly buy from a different constituent brand under the same umbrella. And if you happen to buy from one of their (very few) competitors, they do not care.
It sucks.
