The people absolutely don't. The dictator that suspended elections absolutely does. Zelensky and his admin are thousands of miles away from the front line. Money being pumped into Ukraine enriches the dictator and secures his power. When the spigot is turned off, the Nomenklatura of Ukraine start to squirm.

This is how I know the leadership in Ukraine and their supporters in the West are totally divorced from reality. They keep screaming for more aid (i.e money) when anyone who has even a passing knowledge of military matters knows full well there is no amount of aid that can change the tide of this war. The simple truth is Ukraine is running out of men to throw into the meat grinder. The only thing that can stave off defeat for Ukraine is an Influx of manpower. The longer the war goes, the more of Ukraine Russia gobbles up. And the longer the war goes, the closer the Ukrainian army comes to collapse. And when that happens, and it’s not too far off now, there will be no Ukraine left to save. Putin will annex Ukraine in its entirety.
This is the truth Zelensky, Europe, and Americans leftists refuse to acknowledge.

The sticking point seems to be "No matter what we sign, Putin can't be trusted to stop, so we need peacekeepers on the ground and security agreements from the West." It's not a logical reason for not trying IMO. Trump is saying that American companies on the ground would be enough to stop Putin. Maybe a light force of European peacekeepers could play a role. The worst that could happen is the war resumes.

Legally, you can contribute your entire life savings to Ukraine if you like. Also, you can now volunteer to go fight in their army. They will take any warm, disposable body available.

It’s beyond explaining why the Ukraine war bros cannot understand this.
It definitely is one of two choices. There are only two. So they can pick one of the two.
1) Ukrainian soldiers will eventually get depleted and they have to gradually give up ground beyond what a peace deal would have left Ukraine.
2) Western reinforcements have to land in Ukraine and take over the conflict.
There is no three without peace. None.

Agreed and think the taxpayer should have their money more accounted for, but why is it Ukraine and Europe where we draw the line on this stance? I don’t see any of yall saying we need to stop giving aid to Israel, South Korea, etc. I’m a pro-Israel guy, but I don’t know if there’s anyone else in recent history, that we’ve bent over arse backwards for more, including getting our own people killed in some desert on the other side of the planet, than Israel. I mean, how many wars have we started that was mostly for the benefit/protection of Israel? How many young Americans have died all so we can protect God’s chosen people?
