I have read that the Soviets recovered Hitler's body from the burn pit outside his bunker. Stalin kept this discovery secret to screw with foreign intelligence agencies. He was buried in the Soviet Union, dug up periodically, and relocated several times over the years. There wasn't much left in the way of remains to begin with, and eventually they were totally destroyed.
Hitler was in terrible health, and probably wouldn't have lived very long after the war, anyway. He had Parkinson's like symptoms and looked like a frail old man.

Because immediately after the war they didn't know if he died or escaped so they investigated the rumors and found nothing.
You can pull the files. To me its a bunch of bs.

Circa 1995 I went to high school with a guy who was convinced that not only did Hitler escape Berlin, but that he was living in Baton Rouge and owned the Burlington Coat Factory. I mean, this dude had it all traced out in this notebook he always had with him. It was pretty amazing actually.

Hitler also sacked his doctor in the bunker when the truth was revealed about his “vitamin” injections were meth and opioids. The supply was gone and couldn’t be compounded. Hitler was in a rage over Goring’s addiction even though it was an open secret. Hitler finding out he too was addicted and dealing with withdrawal in the bunker probably added to his suicidal tendencies.

Maybe it was both along with drug cocktails, rattled nerves and non-stop paranoia. Von Stauffenberg's briefcase bombing assassination attempt and news of espionage being run out of Stalag 13 didn't help.
