Probably to keep that shaky government afloat to avoid disrupting trade through the Suez. Also, the Sinai peninsula was one of the original suggestions by Israel for temporarily housing Palestinians. Like or not, a stable Egypt is important.
Also, they’ve taken an economic hit with fewer vessels traveling through the Suez due to Houthi attacks in the Red Sea. I’m not saying it’s great, but it may be a decent investment right now.

Maybe you don't remember the oil embargo in the 70s? Israel helps keep the ME from turning into an all out war zone. They are basically a state. Israel has undoubtedly done things for us that will never be made public.
Not saying everything is perfect, but another oil shortage would bring America to our knees. You wanna talk about inflation?

you've been completely brainwashed. the reason why the middle east was and is a hotbed for war and instability is BECAUSE of israel. you said it yourself. the 70s. israel came into existence in 1948, and ever since it's creation, there's been non-stop bloodshed, displacement, bombings, etc

Israel creates instability for two reasons. One, they want to keep their neighbors off balance. A unified Syrian state could be a threat to them, a bunch of jihadists in a fractured and broken country, they're not worried about that. And that's why they were supporting Sunni terrorists in Syria. The second reason, they want to expand their borders. Chaos makes that possible.
