Are you talking about the one from GumboPot? Because if so, I scrolled all the way through that link and didn’t see Fauci’s name anywhere in there.
I like GumboPot. Just sayin. Not sure where the Fauci quote came from and we don’t need made up stuff against the left. The facts are plenty enough ammo.

To be fair he was referring to the SARS coronavirus virus in 2005 at the time because the 2019 corona virus did not exist. But guess what? The same HCQ mechanism that hinders the 2005 corona virus is the same mechanism that hinders all viruses that use RNA polymerase to replicate. That’s why HCQ shows such promise and the reason that patients that regularly take HCQ on a dainty basis for other treatments besides COVID are not getting sick.

I would bet that the real issue was that Fauci’s name was nowhere in the link.

I don't see where Fauci specifically said the quote in question.
He was with head of the NIAID at the NIH at the time it was published but was not attributed to the study from what I saw.
Tying him to that is lame, but so is denying HCQ is very likely to be a prophylactic and/or early onset remedy for COVID.
