I weep for this countries future. What is wrong with people now? It's the fricking VP that's a big deal. I would have loved to have Biden at my graduation and I can't stand the Obama presidency

It's pretty conservative for a top 20 school, but we have our fair share of idiots like anywhere else. The school is really liberal on a few things that are near and dear to the Catholic Church (like immigration and some economic issues), but it's still probably the most conservative top 20 school by a long shot. Notice only about 100 walked out from a graduating population of about 3000 including grad students.

By university standards, yes.
Here's the deal. The last of the millennials graduate high school next year. The group coming up behind them is the most conservative in 80 years. Things are about to change on college campuses.

If I'm an employer looking to hire someone over the next several months, and a resume of a Norte Dame 2017 graduate came across my desk, I'd be sure to ask whether s/he was one of the students who walked out of the commencement speech.
The answer would tell me a great deal about the applicant's ability to work with others and to resolve conflict.

Not sure i would describe that as en masse. Looked like about 100 or so. How would you like to be their parents and show up for a 2 hour graduation ceremony, and have your kid get up and walk out leaving you there!
