Sniffy McSniffer went to the hood and coding all in one speech

Joe Biden Wednesday bragged about time he spent in the “hood,” a place where he said he found “women of color” he helped train to do computer coding.
Speaking at a rally, the former vice president elaborated on how U.S. workers need to receive better education to prepare themselves for a changing economy, and used a visit to Detroit, Mich., to describe how businesses went to local organizations that help train minorities various coding and technical abilities.
“Through a program we had through community colleges, we can teach people how to code,” Biden said. “We went out, literally into the hood, and they found, turns out, 54 [people], they happened to be all women, the vast majority were women of color, no more than a high school degree, aged 25-54, and a third of them only had GEDs.” LINK

Joe is out of touch, but not out of touches for females.

Maybe he should LEARN TO CODE.

I've heard some commentators say Joe has been known as the dumbest fricker in the Senate.
He's the gift that keeps giving.

I thought that Biden was the Dems’ best hope of winning, too.
This may get into 41-Dukakis territory. Possibly Reagan-Mondale if he won’t shut up and his base doesn’t turn out.

I like how “teaching people to code” is just tossed out like it’s a skill you can pick up in a weekend. Real coding involves a good foundation in math and a strong problem solving skillset for starters. I very seriously doubt you’ll find 50 people in any hood, with limited education and other skillsets to be effective coders.

No way we see Reagan Mondale again......NY, Cali and Mass are WAY TO GONE.

Pretty much - until this latest crop of Hironos, Jacksons, Gillibrands et al came wriggling out of the 'gotta have wimminz' sewer

-Gore invented the internet
-Hillary kept hot sauce in her purse
-Biden knows coding and taught women of color to code.

As someone who is a software engineer for a living this is so much BS. The is a huge difference between someone who can code "Hello World!" and someone who can create complex constructs and place them together into a framework.
Every time I see someone say "Learn to code" I know that person doesn't have the slightest clue on how to code or has even coded in their life.

I’m talking maybe 0.5% chance if that.
Mainly, I mean that people may get so disgusted they don’t vote rather than vote for Trump or Biden.

I think they are trying to get basic “code monkeys” who can look at code and possibly change something without shitting themselves, not people building shite out of whole cloth.
I work in an environment where the big portion of what we do is maintaining the shite that is already there and possibly making some upgrades.
We’ve had people who have been taught to code work for us, as opposed to ones trained coming in, but the results have been decidedly mixed to say the least.
It’s easier to get people pre-trained these days now that we are using standard languages taught in school vs mainframe COBOL which, while functional, is not readily taught anymore. (We used to have to send people to a boot camp to learn how to code in it because nowhere in the state offered courses on it anymore)

AHHHHH - but you are looking at it from a productivity level relative to getting worthwhile work accomplished.
That doesn't play well to DEMOCRAT audiences - the "work" part is the only four letter word the leftwing minorities cannot stand to hear.
It makes a good SOUND BYTE and you can weave a NARRATIVE around it - that is the be all, end all.

Crazy Uncle Joe couldn't turn on a calculator. We're supposed to believe he's training black womens on how to code??

I thought “learn to code” was alt right racism?

I have a very hard time seeing the Democrat voters showing up in big numbers for Joe Biden.
