There is some of that going on in this forum, no doubt. Sort of like there is in any other discipline or line of work. I worked at NASA for 33 years and met some of the most intelligent people in the world. But I also ran into a few folks who I would not hire to mow my lawn. All walks of life have their idiots and their savants. I try to calmly ignore the true idiots, but sometimes go out of my way to insult the really pig-shite deplorables.
And some, I try to have some sort of intellectual exchange with. And that is because I know that I am not in possession of all the facts I need, nor the intellect to interpret it properly. I yearn to find out things that I am mistaken about = that is the basis of all my learning. I hate to be unknowingly wrong about anything. And especially if being wrong effect more than just myself.
