Don't be surprised in the 14 remaining precincts have a 110% turn out all for Broome.

Ironically, St George residents getting out the vote to keep area tax dollars in the new city helped push Sid to the win.

People who aren’t part of the minority or alphabet demographics are tired of being told they’re evil. People have had enough of the shite that’s slowly eroded this country for the last 30+ years and especially ramped up in the last 16 years. They’re fed up.

I initially voted for Ted James and this time voted for Sid. I voted for Sid be because I know what I'm getting with Broome and I don't want more of it. Her mayorship has been surrounded by scandal and corruption, and BTR has only gotten worse in the last 8 years.

I’m totally shocked. I’ll be interested to see how he did in some of the lower income areas. Maybe they were tired of the crime in their neighborhoods.

Well the swac championship being in Jackson is probably the biggest help here let’s be honest with ourselves.

This is a HUGE day for those of us in St. George, we get our money back, and get rid of the witch that cost us valuable time and money.

Yep. Part of SWB’s strategy was to not talk about the tax transfer because they didn’t want to push more people to the poll.

This is incredible. How many Deep South cities of BR's size have had a GOP mayor in the last 100 years? It can't be many

Once Sid gets inaugurated, those St George transition meetings will be a lot more cordial.
