If the high school football coach Sid beats Sharon... it would be an upset rivaling when Cao beat Dolla Bill Jefferson to put a Republican in the (at the time only) majority minority House district in Louisiana... and that was when Obama was elected to his 1st term
ETA: a hurricane had pushed the election schedule out of whack... so Jefferson won the primary (but didn't get 50%+1 so he had to go to a runoff) on the day Obama won his 1st term
But the runoff was in December... & Cao won

Ted James is such a fricking spineless pussy.
I would have had some respect for the dude had he backed up months of shite talking broome and endorsed Sid and stuck to his message of BR needing a change…but nope just another shite bag that probably endorsed her for a job and maybe an endorsement in 4 years. Low life.
The true retards though are the republicans that stooped for him “guys he’s our only chance “ well a football coach that got into the race with no fan fare is taking her to the brink. Whoops

I was playing around looking at results from neighboring parishes and noticed that Gonzales is going to be HEAVILY Democrat run. Normally for small town races I kinda disregard party, but what the national Democrats have become, I don't think positively of anyone that decides to associate themselves with that party. Am I wrong?
