Be sure to tell your kids and memorialize for their grandkids how good this country was because it is OVER. No, McCarthy was not our last hope but come January the Republicans will have a one seat majority. They found a way to squander what little hope we had.
Mark my words, by March the Democrats will have found a way to remove that one seat and wrestle back control of all three branches. There is blood in the water and with the opportunity to kill all Republican investigations, and have unfettered control going into the elections, it is guaranteed they are not going to stop at anything to take that one seat majority.
I don't think there is anything the Democrats will not do to take that one majority seat ... and I mean ANYTHING because they have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

There are key parts of the 2017 tax cuts that revert back to higher levels automatically in 2025. I was told McCarty planned to quietly include extensions of these business and death tax cuts during the funding process. Trump supported him because of that I suspect.
