The executive has been legally circumventing them on matters of foreign intervention my entire life.
Not really.
The executive has just been taking a broad interpretation of the authority Congress has granted it. If their action was within the bounds of Congressional authorization, then they didnt circumvent Congress. If the executive went too far, then it was illegal.
The problem is, only Congress can stop the illegal circumvention, and they never seem interested in doing that.

We will not be agreeing to any deals so we can "get out". We will agree to a deal when Iran agrees to conditions that are acceptable to us.

I agree with the shorter timeframe although maybe not quite that short.
It may not be with nuclear or long range weapons but they’ve always found a way to be a thorn in the side with somewhat limited resources.
And with China and Russia’s help all of the above is back on the table even if it’s just with a very believable bluff job. And a pretty believable bluff may be enough for them to turn the corner of them being unapproachable.
Add in their realization that nations won’t attack them on the ground and the prospects of them bouncing back soon become even clearer.

Of course. Finish them off.

What Trump is doing is no different than what every other president has done and if their nuts decide to drop after watching them be corrupt empty vessels for the lobbyist groups for my entire life they’ll get around to challenging it.
Until then there are a million other things I’m more concerned about than whether Congress stopped harassing their aids and taking bribes long enough to give a “full and non partisan” review of whatever the current adventure in Iran is.

It'll take them way less than 10 years to regroup after we stop bombing them (as Russia/China will aid them greatly), and they will probably accelerate nuclear weapon development.
We could keep bombing for a year or more and the regime would still be in place unless we would commit hundreds of thousands of ground troops which ain't happening.
Tough spot Trump finds himself in. Have to find some way to get the Strait of Hormuz back open.

this is a spot any real leader of anything worthwhile finds themselves in.
Leaders lead. Non leaders put together agreements that don't mean anything and pretend they led.
What you, me and nobody here has is the information he had that led him to decide now was the time to put himself in this spot.
