This does not benefit society in any way. Now that it has been released that Kirk’s killer was Gay and living with a tranny…gay marriage should be reversed, pass laws against trans from playing women sports, trans using the wrong bathrooms, ban alphabet people from the military, and ban any of this crazy nonsense from being taught at schools. None of this will ever go away until gay marriage is reversed. This opened the door for all of the alphabet people.
AS a Christian business owners, I have a gay employee, who is fantastic
he doesn't bring his private life to work...
He's living with a partner...maybe one day they will get married, I do not know
I try to stay out of it,
no I do not support gay marriage , but I do support my employee and whatever makes him happy.
I don't think it will be a fulfilling life, but it's his life
my biggest complaint is with LBGTQ movement is they push and push
just live a quiet life..
you don't need more rights than the rest of us...

Marriage is a construct to bring about a stable environment through which children can be raised.
It’s scientifically impossible for 2 men or 2 women to have children.
Adoption says otherwise.
Certainly your litmus test for a valid marriage isn’t if biological children are born. Right?

I’m sorry but what does any of this have to do with consenting adults deciding who to marry.

Then you support the trans movement.
Ridiculous. LGB people are not a monolith just like straight people aren’t.

Consenting adults of the opposite sex getting married hurts nobody and is 100% critical for the ultimate survival of a civilization.
Consenting adults of the same sex getting married hurts nobody.
If you don’t like gay marriage, then don’t have one. It’s pretty simple.

You can make an argument that it should go back to being a state issue, but wanting to ban it all together, that's exactly what a liberal would do.

Nah, get the government out of all of it now. All kinds of people have arguments to be married including FLDS and polygamy.

No a conservative position is eliminating the government from the marriage business. They have made a mess of it like everything they touch.

So are you also advocating against no fault divorce and being outspoken against divorce for any reason other than adultery? Because that’s Jesus’s litmus test.
Straight people, including those inside the church (25-30% of marriages fail in conservative/evangelical churches), don’t seem to take marriage seriously unless it’s arguing about gays getting to marry. Maybe straight people, religious and non-religious, should value their marriages enough to stay in them.
There’s a thread on this once a week.
Constitutionally, what happens to the gay couple whose marriage is recognized in one state but not another when one of the couple is transferred to such a state for work or needs to move to care for an elderly family member? How does Federal taxation work for gay couples when some can marry and some cannot? How do you propose to get around those inequalities across state lines?

We need to get rid of no-fault divorce. It's damaging to society.

I just want to bring back public mockery and shame. Society was better when these THINGS were too scared to speak up.
Posted on 9/13/25 at 6:12 pm to ctiger69
No it shouldn't. You people can't just take the easy win handed to us by the left. You want to give the House back to them in 2026.

Neither does letting people have their own civil unions. Get the government out of it all it. It’s too much of a mess now

That’s the comparison you want to make? I have no problem with gay marriage. I don’t care if you disagree but at least come up with a competent reason why if you want to discuss it. Gay people are going to live together regardless of a piece of paper.
Posted on 9/13/25 at 6:31 pm to ctiger69
Cause if 5 % of marriages are between gay people, that will dent the population of 7 billion people.
FFS.
