Not the current regime in Iran.

Give them a nuke, and they may not feel its necessary to be a terrorist again.
They use guerrilla tactics because they have inferior firepower.
We preached nukes as the great deterrent for years, now some here have changed their minds.

So why would Israel be so concerned with keeping military superiority over Iran?
Israel wants to be able to attack the Palestinians without being struck by Iran, and they want to able to strike Iran without worrying about Hamas and Hezbollah retaliating against them from Lebanon and Palestine.

Yea let's give the number 1 sponsor of terrorism a nuke thinking they will suddenly decide to to use them

It’s not a simple yes or no question.
It’s a cost - benefit analysis.
Would you say that the US is responsible for preventing it no matter the cost?
What is that level?

This! They’ve openly said they would wipe Israel off the map, and that will resurrect their savior, the 12 th Imam. What we are seeing is to prevent Israel from Nuking Iran. We went to war to prevent a use of Nuclear weapons, whether people know this or not…cause Israel was going to first strike them, and why our hand was forced

They have been calling for our destruction as well as Israel for a long time, but not until maybe the last 10-15 years has their nuclear program been front and center. It's difficult to get good intelligence on how far along they were with uranium enrichment, but the fact is they can never have the ability to complete a nuclear weapon. Look at North Korea. If the same thing had been done years ago, they would not have one

I appreciate your honesty but no one should ever think Iran should possess a nuclear weapon. Period. It’s a ludicrous question.
Iran is led by the devil incarnate.
I agree with your post. I take the Islamic Regime at their word, they want Israel and the US destroyed if they obtain the capabilities to do so.
But look at the down votes to the OP, there appears to be many on this forum who believe Islamic Regime should have the unfettered right to possess a nuclear weapon......that's disturbing if not frightening.

No reason.
If only that was the topic we were discussing……..
Should Iran be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon?

You can count on at least half of those having that position and belief merely because Trump believes and supports the opposite - exactly that shallow a thought process, no deeper. Which is also disturbing if not frightening. On top of the idea itself being disturbing if not frightening.

I'm 100% certain there is a large percentage of Democratic Socialists and never Trumpers who view a military humiliation of the US in the ME as a victory for the Red/Green Alliance. It's why the Red/Green Alliance has set the bar for success for the US as complete regime change in Iran. If the Islamic Regime is not toppled the Red/Green Alliance will claim victory over Trump 2.0.

Can’t believe you are even asking.
The reason I made the OP was to see how many on this forum believe the Islamic Regime should have the right to possess a nuclear weapon. Am I shocked at how many on this forum think Iran should have a nuclear weapon? Yes I am.

I’m not quite sure what the impact the so-called Red/Green Alliance claiming victory would have anyway, under any circumstances.
Posted on 5/7/26 at 7:08 pm to RogerTheShrubber

It's a political victory.
The US could literally annihilate the Islamic Regime and if they are still in control of Iran the Democratic Socialist Party in the US (part of the Red/Green Alliance) will use the Gaslight Media to convince gullible and squishy Americans that Trump 2.0 is incompetent, hoping that will help them in their pursuit for political power in the US.

Your critical reasoning has deteriorated since you took your sabbatical.
