I’m all for it, but we have to tax everyone and no more government handouts of any kind at all for anyone or any entity.

Can’t. That’s illegal. Equal protection clause. And establishment clause if the denominations are different.

Nope, my money is already taxed and I give it to my church as a donation. I don’t want my money taxed again.
My church also does many great things with it to help others both members and non members alike.
And my church rarely if at all tells members how to vote in an election. That’s a fact.

Politics and radicals don't belong in the house of God.

Have you seen Jesse Duplantis’ house? You telling me that money should be tax free?

An income tax would be problematic, but I see no reason that they should not be subject to property taxes.

I wouldn’t belong to a congregation where the “pastor” is living lavishly due to donations. That question should be directed to his congregation.

A congregation should be able to protect their pastor so he can live a tax-free, luxury lifestyle? I pay taxes. You pay taxes. Why should JD be able to get a mansion and private jet tax free?
This is not religion. It’s a scam.

Churches own houses (not just a parsonage) and pay no fricking taxes but collect income.
False.

What makes you think Jesse Duplantis’ house is tax free?

It happened/happens in Bryan County, OK.

Replace the word "churches" with "synagogues" and "mosques" and then ask the same question.
Watch liberal heads explode.
Profit.

It’s owned by the church.

That’s a problem easily remedied. Change the law in Oklahoma so that churches who are renting out property for unrelated business income lose their tax exempt status for the property.
Some states do exactly that. And there’s no violation of church and state in the process.

So Jesse is provided that benefit by the church and then pays taxes on the benefit.

For instance, someone wills a pos house to a church. The church decides to rent it to a needy family for a little discount. That stuff happens all over this country.

Fiend - you've been taxed into submission and your mind is going down. Pull up. Pull up.
