Mary Landrieu doesn't socialize with your run of the mill Tiger fans, unless they just happen to frequent Washington, D.C. and contribute large amounts of money to Democrat causes or Mary Landrieu's re-election.

Do you know for a fact that Landrieu is a Georgetown cocktail party snob, because not everyone on Capitol Hill is? For example, it was well-known that before Joe Biden was elected Vice President, he was much more comfortable hanging out with "regular folks" than D.C. high rollers.

Social Drinking is a part of our culture, binge drinking is not. Keg stands fall into the realm of those puritanical protestants who when breaking away from convention don't know how to drink and try to get as drunk as possible in the quickest amount of time.

I'd also imagine ole Joe spent considerably more time in Delaware than Landrieu does in Louisiana.

The people in Acadiana are more sophisticated imbibers than doing keg stands. They care more about her pro-abortion votes.

A keg stand is amateur hour. It's what the arrested development types do.

And unless MADD makes a big stink, I don't think on its own it will win or lose her votes. But it doesn't help her image, which has taken quite a hit lately.

I kind of think this whole thing was staged in an attempt to troll Republicans into acting petty and uptight.

There's a lot of people on the Internet that are just looking for something to offend them. You hate her already so this changes nothing in that regard.

Conservative-leaning moderates and swing-voters at work seem to think it shows a light-hearted down to earth side.

Plus it seems convenient that the guy drinking isn't anywhere close to being considered a kid, like say a 21 or 22 year old. He's 28 and a responsible adult with a job, etc.

I guess conservatives will yske the bait and be nannies. frick 'em all. I don't care.

Probably aimed on the same crowd who frowned upon ejaculating on an underage intern in the Oval Office.

I'm not offended. I find it a pretty stupid thing to do. And I haven't heard any conservatives be "outraged". They're laughing at her stupidity.

As I said, if MADD wanted to raise a stink about it, she would then be forced to apologize. But I doubt they will.

Though I wonder how people who have lost someone to a drunk driver feel about it.

You seem to know a lot of the background. I'm actually more curious, who was this group of tailgaters who encouraged the Senator to participate in a keg stand. As far as I can tell there was a photographer from Roll Call magazine as well as a reporter from Mother Jones at the event. Yet others have posted that Senator Landrieu was just roaming around campus by herself.

No shite huh? It was just good fun, just bc she held the tap on a keg stand doesn't mean I'm going to vote for her.

That's probably the first time she's had her hands on a guy's hose in a long time.

Depends on if the senator is up for re-election or not.
