The nurse was asking me if i had the shingles vaccine yet and if not I should get it. I said no way & when my doctor came in the room we had our conversation.
Are you over 50?

Why would you think doctors aren’t pushing vaccines on people of all ages? After the past 2 years you should realize this is the new norm…
Lol, you are so dim. Vaccines are great. But there is still a immunization schedule.

I was over 60 k old and never had shingles. Then the TV said I should worry so I got the vaccine. Within 2 months I got shingles. It was a relative mild case on both legs. I do not believe in coincidences.

shingles are a muther fricker, and depending on where they are, can make it a double muther fricker.

Had shingles late last year. Absolutely the worst “medical” experience I’ve ever had. It was 5 or 6 days of hell with blisters from the center of the back of my neck to under my chin. Wearing a shirt was impossible and trying to eat was painful. I blame my shingles outbreak on the covid jab. I don’t know how it could be related but that’s my belief. That being said….debating the shingles vaccine because I never want to experience that pain again.

yes, i suffer from PHN (google it). STILL I will NOT take the NEW vaccine.
I suffer from the same thing in my left side. Feels like ants crawling and biting under my skin. Did find out that marijuana helps with the nerve pain. I was given a medicinal marijuana script. Pharmacy is over off Essen if you are in Baton Rouge.

Never had a problem with my doctor, but now they are pushing the shingles vax I am less inclined to take it.

adolescent strategy.
if authority = yes

you should really read the thread before you decide.

my sister (med professional) told me that the weakened immune system from the covid mrna vaccines seems to be increasing the numbers of shingles outbreaks they are seeing.

The medical profession lost a lot of trust during COVID. Toeing the company line instead of thinking critically. The facts were so simple that you didn't need a degree of any kind to understand them, but the people who we're supposed to trust with our well-being either didn't understand them or were lying about them. Don't know how you gain that trust back.
ETA: If you couldn't understand something so simply obvious as masks did nothing to slow the spread of COVID, or if you actually recommended the COVID shot to anyone without severe comorbidities or being extremely old, then how could I possibly trust that you're giving me sound advice about anything?

Where can you get it? Because the CDC and the NIH is batting the same %. Hell… based on the “I told you so” metric… the poli board is batting a little better than the CDC and NIH.
Get the shot!! You won’t get Covid!!
Get the booster!! You won’t get Covid!!
Mask up!! It prevents Covid!!
Wear two masks!! It prevents Covid!!!

You have a point. Everyone knows it’s really systemic racism, white supremacy, nationalism, homophobia, or the climate emergency. Or better yet.. a combination of them.

I’ve had kidney stones a handful of times, diverticulitis, colon resection and shingles. Shingles was the worst thing I have ever experienced and I’m making an appt to get the shingles vaccine this week.

Not when I see what’s happening. It’s prudent & wise strategy.
You still believe there’s a cOViD vaccine?

Tough decision for sure.
Many, many reports of seniors who were China Flu vaccinated getting Shingles later on.
My Father had a horrible outbreak of Shingles. And so did my wife. Both jabbed with China Flu shot

A pureblood buddy came down with shingles two weeks ago. I guess it's a mild case. Dang sure don't want a severe case!
So I got shingrix last wed. Had severe fever/chills/bodyaches for 24 hrs. Sickest I've ever been the night of the shot. Arm sore for a few days.
I recommend getting the shingles vax on a friday.

If you know anyone who's had shingles...ask them, then go get the shot.

If you're bound to get the shot and you have a Medicare part D plan, wait until after the first of the year and you won't pay anything.

Funny you say that bc she chose to get one last week (one in the basic vax schedule)…. BAM…. Little niece is dealing with full blown eczema. This was one of the issues she was worried about bc it happened with my nephew and never went away.
She called me Fri asking me to find that an article I had once sent her about babies and the vax causing many skins problems in children bc my niece has been covered in it for 2 days now.
You can lie all you want… The vaccines are not as great as you claim. All 3 of my children had the full vaccine schedule so I’m not some anti-vax loon.
