There's no doubt he will place great emphasis on the state's infrastructure conundrum. The DOTD is essentially broke. His trademark tagline is: "We've got a wheelbarrow full of needs and a thimble full of money". He's a BIG proponent of Public-Private-Partnerships (P3s) and not opposed to the idea of tolls to get it done.

Early detractors are claiming he's nothing more than a left-wing puppet. I'm not seeing it.

If he confronts Latoya and adopts a legit tough-on-crime stance and dares to kick arse and take names in NOLA, you can print the shirts now.

I'm a conservative Republican and until I see cracks in his armor (Equity, CRT, Gender hysteria, WOKE-ism, and all the rest), I'd cross the line to vote for him.

Wilson has literally done nothing to help the infrastructure or accomplish anything valuable towards the betterment of the State

Shawn Wilson has done an amazing job of getting money for one of the worst Interstate bridges in the country at a time when they were handing out money left and right.

Just amazing results. Lake Charles celebrates its new I10 bridge he got us! Thanks for nothing, Shawn Wilson!

Why do we never call white candidates and public figures “articulate”

He probably wants a bridge over the river in St Bernard parish. We don’t want that bridge

Give him 2 sticks to rub together and it might be a different story. What the heck do you expect with an empty cupboard?

Louisiana’s gas tax is among the nation’s lowest and has not been increased in more than 30 years (and has not been indexed for inflation)

Louisiana's gas tax cannot meet state's road and bridge needs, audit says

Meanwhile, while we were sleeping, infrastructure costs have doubled? tripled? quadrupled?

$13 billion road and bridge backlog

That's an over-hyped misconception. You've been spending too much time down at the barbershop.

Too bad he wasn’t smart, articulate, or competent enough to perform his previous job effectively. You know, the one he quit to chase higher political ambition.

The interstate plans in BR are a disaster, and I cannot think of a single LADOTD project in the Capitol area that has been completed anywhere near on time or on budget during Wilson’s tenure.

He’s running for Governor because he is black, which is all it will take to make the runoff.

Every dumbass decision from the DOTD has been this guy. He said I10 would be one lane for construction, then magically two before he announced he was running, that's not a coincidence. He has a doctorate in sociology, insists on being called Dr., knows nothing about transportation and is a useless appointed bureaucrat. Have fun being a dumbass.
