Roger, this board is a little society. Like every society, it largely functions by expecting its members to self govern. When one member (like you, for instance) refuses to do so, it is not unreasonable to ask the governing authorities of the society to seek acceptable behavior from the recalcitrant member

Indeed.

I did learn something from Hall Monitor Hank though, the best language is the most accurate language, therefore we are a representative republic, not a democracy.

Hamilton, for instance, was specifically critical of “pure democracy.“ not democracy in general

you can find similar quotes and distinctions from almost all of the founding fathers, with Adams being a notable exception. The man was basically a monarchist

Just … wow

The Declaration of iIndependence was not a governing document, and it did not establish any form of government, including a “republic.”. To the contrary, it specifically stated that it was establishing 13 distinct independent sovereign entities.

It was, however, promptly followed by the establishment of a confederacy, not a republic. A confederacy that failed, by the way.
