People on the coasts, especially the southeast coast, are ripped for living there because of the constant threat of hurricanes. However, those same people are silent when wildfires are constantly destroying the same areas in California. I mean, the Santa Ana winds are nothing new and they wreak havoc often.
I do not take that approach because it's a horrible, horrible thing. I do understand asking the question of should we celebrate lefty destruction like the left celebrates destruction of folks on the right.
For the record, people of all political leanings are affected and it sucks for them. I just hope there is minimal/no loss of life. Material things can be replaced.

People shouldn't be allowed to build homes were natural disasters are prone to occur, right California libs?
While I feel for the people being affected by these fires, if your policies leave things to mother nature, she will eventually "correct" the issues... The true shame is that many of the fires out west could be minimized, contained or actually prevented if they allowed proper forestry management practices...
In no way am I celebrating what is going on out there but this situation is similar to the pump issues in New Orleans...

Mudslides will follow since all of the underbrush is being consumed... This is the double whammy of these huge fires...

Like I said yesterday, people need to get a grip.

There were threads on here containing Twitter posts by leftists proclaiming the Harvey flood was Karma for Texans for voting for Trump.

I think CA's policies are coming home to burn their state down, literally. These fires are tough enough to deal with, even in states like AZ that do controlled burns. But in AZ, the fires don't get out of hand in the areas where the burns take place.
Whether it's over zealous environmental policies or turning a blind eye to who's coming into your state, CA has put itself in a bad position. The problems with the Oroville dam were largely a result of CA failure as well.
And now CA people want to whine about the tax plan. Maybe they'll start seeing the light and approach things more objectively. You can't have utopia on hope and dreams. It takes work as well.

I wonder how long until this threads high thinkers of the moral majority figure out that California has more Trump voters than Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama combined. That Ventura County alone contains some 130,000 of them?

Why are the Environmentalists fighting against that regions natural processes? It's the natural state of that environment to experience wildfires, happens all the time. Aggregate Human Terraformation is the culprit for losses.
Never the less, based on how well Californians handle illegal immigration, I fully expect them to handle this on their own too.

It looks to me like some leftists were celebrating Harvey hitting Texas
So let me get this logic. Some piece of shite said Texas deserved a natural disaster and was condemned by his peers and employer. So therefore we Trump supporters should act like similar pieces of shite and cheer on wild fires that are probably burning up Trump voter’s homes as well. Because the blues outnumbered the reds in total votes and we will look for any excuse to go as low as possible?

In lots of places in Cali that may be the case but not really in this area

Now if you're trying to say you meant you didn't see any lib posters on this board celebrating Harvey it just shows you're trying to save face by moving the goalposts.

How far from the UCLA campus now? I have been trying to contact a friend there to see what's going on. Looks like its on the other side of BelAir from the campus.
