how many positions are being filled?

Over 3,000 in NR-W local council elections alone.

We already had an entire thread on this topic and I kept asking for a logical reason why "They" would do this and nobody could come up with one.

Sounds like that party is toast. If you’re a member, you might need to reconsider. They will never have any influence in Germany.

These local elections are largely irrelevant in the big picture. They don't have the same system we do in the US.

Some of the dead are from their "reserve" list. Not even candidates. Several died after a long illness.

Most if not all were probably running for podunk office.

Very unlikely this is about foul play. But very effective headline to generate engagement from conspiracy tards.

Plus, AfD is not popular at all in that region. The barely have any seats at any level from NRW. Its not like they were/are poised to take power there. AfD's strongholds are all in the former GDR.

I didn't even think to look at that.

Well, you know, "they" are intimidating other local pols so that those pols don't, *checks notes* run and lose.

Now, AfD is generally growing more popular across Germany. But their growth is much more tempered in more prosperous regions like the rhineland states and bavaria (where their Bundestag seats are from the party list) than elsewhere where they are winning consituencies outright.

But that also goes back to what we spoke about last time, where that will have impact on the more important election to assign % of the BS.

No doubt. Their next election will be interesting whenever the CDU/CSU - SPD alliance inevitably collapses.

Germany doing German things. Purely purely a coincidence that your opposition candidates are dropping dead

What does this have to do with 7 members of a political party which the elites are openly hostile towards all turning up dead in a short time frame?

7 in one area within weeks?

The feigned stupidity on this board is tiresome.
