I'm glad you started this thread, because imo one of the biggest problems many people have is that they trust corporate media implicitly. Add to that the fact that a significant number of people don't take the time or make the effort to research matters for themselves, and the combination is a recipe for disaster.
That's one more reason why I'm glad that President Trump plays hardball with the mainstream media. Most of these media corporations, and the well-paid puppets they employ, have premeditated agendas which justify the "fake news" tag that President Trump attaches to them. I personally refer to the "journalistic profession" as nothing but an amalgamation of gypsies, tramps, and thieves.
More and more people need to wake up to the truth about the mainstream media. They are hardly professionals. More like hired goons and thugs who are paid to influence and manipulate public opinion by any means necessary. This bizarre situation with Jeffrey Toobin may not really change anything, but hopefully it will cause a few people to see that here's one more media person who didn't possess nearly as much character or integrity as they had been led to believe.
