Well yes.

But those nations choose their list of professions they are willing to accept based upon need. Hence, there are actually some high caliber professions NOT on the list.

Regardless though. While it is probably true that knee jerk, a lot of conservatives would not like large numbers you speak of, that's a function of current experience.

But, if you can largely shut down mooching immigration, I suspect you short circuit most complaints about large numbers of PRODUCTIVE people showing up. And, i mean....REALLY productive. Not skin of their teeth, need govt aid productive.

The reality is, the U.S. could be picky as frick and take only the best of the best and STILL be turning away tons of people due to sheer numbers.

I don't see any Democrats suggesting anything that would make me worry about "self-preservation" so this seems overblown. I'm sure there's no shortage of incendiary things said by randos on Twitter or Assistant Professors of Whatever in California but those don't really move the needle for me.

They mock you on tv. They blame you because you’re white and they can’t compete with you on advancement test. You may score 10 points above someone else but because you are white, you get overlooked.
Every time there is any conflict with a white and a person of color, Democrats come to the aid of the person of color and put the blame on you because you are white and male.
How can you be for people that hate you? Either you ain’t a white male or you are a white male and one stupid fricking idiot.
