Serious Question for TBoy and other democrats on this board:

Why do you like degeneracy? I mean, I get it, a little degeneracy can be fun. But full bore, full time, never taking a break, PROUD degeneracy?

That must get boring after a while.

This is some very delusional stuff

It is delusional to say that a movement, lead by a lifelong Democrat, with a cabinet made up of several life long Democrats, with a voter base that included the "Walk Away" movement, and was supported by many life long Democrats like Musk, Rogan and even ex-socialist Brand is close to middle?

Here is where this needs to go

You need to realize the meme is indeed true. If you weren't so "my team", you probably would see that.

If you really dig a little deeper, you’ll find the DSA represent a pretty small percentage of the party. The get a lot of attention because they tend to create noise and news. The center will prevail long term.

One does not need to dig deeper to see that even if you say the extreme is only a small fraction, you "moderates" happily vote for them.

If you dig a little deeper, you see that you "moderates" support extreme ideas such as killing the unborn at sickening rates, giving hormone blockers to children, mass public nudity in the form of pride parades, grown men dressed as hookers reading stories to toddlers, and much, much more.

You "moderates" then turn to us and say "you are the extremists" for the sole reason that we do not support nor want the extreme ideas you "moderates" support and vote for.

I am truly amazed at your stupidity

VOR is the epitome of the old white lawyer democrat. Pretending as if he’s still voting for the party of 1992 Clinton while his party angrily calls for socialism, DEI, trans children surgeries, open borders, abolition of prisons, etc. insane stuff.

Yes, but that small percentage is taking over the party. Look at the trans population. They are approx 1% of the total population and look at all of the hoops people have jumped through over the past decade to appease them. The center moderate democrats appear to have zero voice.

For those who say it is all about power, if the DSA gets power they will not bend to the will of the centralists. They will smack them down as they would any Republican.

I truly believe that JFK, and possibly Bill Clinton especially in his second term would be labled "far right" by today's democratic party.

Not a dem, but this isn't the democratic leadership. None of them hold leadership positions in the house or the senate. They're the media darlings that the media has chosen to focus on. That doesn't make them "leadership" and they don't set the agenda of the democratic party. I've always said that if AOC was 280lbs and 20 years older, she wouldn't be a household name.

I'll never understand the point of threads like this.

You are literally asking the party of "any means necessary" to lie to you. That is what they are trained to do.

"Dear XXX Posters, please lie to my face and gaslight me again".

Isn't this what they said about the Nazis and Bolsheviks? BTW, your party has no center.

and people might believe you, other than the fact that the Left has swiftly drifted away from the Democrat party policies and viewpoints of the 90’s, 2000’s, or hell even 2016. Don’t believe your lying eyes tho folks! It’s just a handful of loud folks.

fricking scum.

I’m not a Democrat but a #NeverTrump unreconstructed dubya neocon. I’ve never actually voted for a Democrat that I recall, but I sort of keep hoping they will counterweight to MAGA. But, as you rightly point out, there’s little reason for optimism.

What’s much worse from my perspective as a conservative of the beforetimes is that Vance and Trump undermine the intellectual framework built over decades on the right to oppose socialism, government interference in the free market, trade restrictions, etc. His venal, corrupt, nihilistic rule has been a near complete destruction of the bulwark against socialism. What good is all this polemic against communism while you take pieces of private companies, undermine federalism and the rule of law, and explicitly reject the free market case made by our intellectual heavyweights over years (eg vance on Milton Friedman).

So i think your concerns are valid. And that you need to look in the mirror. One day when this fever dream is over, you might be able to see things clearly.
