Yes and they are quite proud of their virtue I’ve noticed. Coincidentally, of pride and larceny, only one is on the list of the seven most deadly sins.

It’s kind of an inside joke of mine. My wife always fusses about locking our cars and my retort is always ,” what are they going to steal, our floor mats?”

But you know since he didn’t actually steal anything it’s not exactly accurate.

You must also be cool with the far reaching and abhorrent charges against people doing nothing but being in or around the Capitol on Jan 6 if you support murder charges for someone that was in police custody at the time of the accident. I find this and the Jan 6 charges disgusting and fantastically overreaching. In short, I'm not a hypocrite.

Same. I support all protesting of the government by Americans. Somehow, that also outrages the grumpfish who frequent this board.

You can’t be serious. After the show you put on in this thread…

So the people who were convicted of rioting on Jan 6th aren’t complicit in the subsequent murder of Ashley Babbitt?

That’s an unusual stance to take considering your position on this Braxton case.

Fleeing the police isn’t a crime?

So, you're telling me you don't believe the Jan 6 charges are overreaching? Because that was what I asked. I'm not sure why you think a dead body needs to be involved. I also find minor laws such as prohibiting motorists from warning others of speed traps to be unjust and overreaching. And so far the high courts have agreed with me. Again, why do you want to live in a society with so many ridiculous laws that no one could know them all? Do you believe that is what the founding fathers intended?

Get the laws changed rather than arguing this stupid shite on an anonymous message board.

The comment you’re responding to was referring to the police. They were not fleeing from themselves.

I have no desire to waste my time getting the law changed. As I suggested early in this thread, this issue is wrapped up perfectly for something the Innocence Project should be interested in. If you really care, that's where you would direct your angst.

Are you not bitching though? Bitching about other people discussing a topic you claim to have no interest in? I can live with you not caring. You can live with other people caring.

The article talks about victims of overreaching felony murder convictions reaching out to organizations like the IP and getting ignored. I believe The New Yorker has more sway than I do at the moment.

I'm sympathetic to this. How far removed can someone be from a felony until they're no longer tied to it?

Get away driver for a bank robbery gone wrong (someone was murdered) is one thing but this is too far.

Because Liberals are natural born gdamned liars who will ALWAYS let their hate force them to ally with the wrong people.

It's not what you comment on, is the vapid nature of the comments.

Do you believe anyone arrested by the police is guilty of what they are charged with?
