The Senate passed a resolution Wednesday to make business attire a requirement on the Senate floor.

The big picture: The moves comes after backlash to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's (D-N.Y.) directive to scuttle the chamber's informal dress code, which was widely viewed to be inspired by Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.).

Details The bipartisan resolution requires that business attire be worn on the floor of the Senate, "which for men shall include a coat, tie, and slacks or other long pants."

This may send the ogre back to the hospital for depression.

Should make it a requirement to enter the building. None of that tracksuit standing in the doorway to shout in his vote shite.

I know it's just lipstick on a pig, considering the shitshow in politics these days, but I'm glad they are keeping a little decorum.

Glad that didn't last long. Now on to the dress code on the southern border!

Shirt and tie inhibits blood flow to Fetterman's head.

I spent 21 years working in a Federal courthouse. Business attire was mandatory. I can’t even begin to imagine how the US Senate would have a lower standard. It’s ridiculous.

To be fair, he didn’t know he had to read and dress like a big boy when he got the job.

Good to know their first order of business is all about a cover up.

Republicans have to run a decent candidate next time and beat Fetterman. Dude sucks tremendously.

I honestly think he is a barely functional autistic. He is definitely on the spectrum and needs his "security blanket" which is his childish clothing. I think he gets twisted out of shape when he has to wear adult clothing.

I am sure most of us have seen autistic people who have some security item that they can not function without. This is our weird Pennsylvania Ogre.
