Everybody does oppo research, bass. Let's not get hysterical and call it espionage. You try to do this on your own folks ahead of time to avoid bombshells in the middle of a confirmation, but it seems like more of these have been getting through. Maybe they figure the base doesn't care about such allegations. Maybe it's just that in the #metoo age a lot of guys are going to get more scrutiny than in years past.
