I thought you were Sheldon Cooper smart? Are you expecting them to actually cut any spending for the first time in nearly 21 years...As they vote in their next pay raise and special COLA's for DC housing?

They will get their lobbyist favors in and pork. They are working for the chamber of commerce not we the people.

As you know, Trump was mandated to: Jane- stop this crazy thing as best he can. Or are you c/o DOGE cuts? Why do you cheerlead as if they are suddenly fiscally responsible?

I agree with the part in bold but why does Trump have to "get serious"? They are the law writers aren't they?

I would guess that the House bill was written to reflect Trump's priorities .

The presumption is the BBB is too large with too much spending. That's not a lie that's the premise of the thread

As if the following aren't true

1. The admin specifically participated in crafting the BBB
2. Trump owns and supports the BBB

You're not describing my position properly.

I'm saying Trump is specifically not fiscally responsible and has no appetite for spending cuts. If he was, he'd never have supported the BBB.

Correct. He's been openly supportive of it and, as FL will tell you, this is his baby and priority.

To pretend we're operating under 2nd grade civics where the House crafts a bill independently and the President won't see it until the Senate confirms the bill, is silliness.

You described the projected ignorance from MAGA that I just posted about perfectly.

I like "a lion doesn't concern himself with the opinions of the sheep" personally, to describe that, but that's not really applicable to the conversation.

Trump's admin actively negotiated the BBB and participated the entire way. Trump has openly supported the BBB, along with many of his admin (See the Stephen Miller thread on page 1 for more evidence).

To try to spin the BBB as only an act of the House or Senate is political spin at its worst. To do so to insulate the Trump admin from criticism over the BBB is max level dishonest rhetoric.

*ETA: this is the same retarded "arguments" MAGA tries to use with Covid spending under Trump 1.

Nobody is really doing that. What's happening is you're going to other end of the ignorance spectrum and then, as usual, creating a straw man to tear down.

You're the only one who doesnt see it.

God damn you've never made me cringe so hard. You really are full of yourself. It's like mommy always said you were the smartest specialist boy and you just started believing it. If anyone not named you can refute that description of your persona on here, I'll hear it. Your nose is too full of your own shite to hold a credible opinion.

Happy Sunday, mommy's special man.

What straw man, specifically?

No.

That's just from this thread. It's been a common theme when the BBB is criticized and the big spending imputed to Trump. Do you want me to find more examples? I can do it for Covid spending, too.

Where did these “fiscal hawks” come from all of a sudden?

They show up every time the GOPe is in charge. When their not in charge, they pass every CR or budget the Dems put forward.
