Again, you're wrong. Both times in my life when I was wrong about something, I admitted it.

Would those two things be:

1) much of what you think

and

2) much of what you say?

NOW who is parsing words? The 'transition district' IS the city council in all respects except for name until elections are held.

My point stands that White can appoint himself to the city's governing board.

I understand your point, and if you did not have a long history of attacking posters for similar relevant, but technically inaccurate statements, I would not have bothered pointing out your own mistake.

White could appoint himself, but the position draws no salary or per diem from what I gather.

The other Senator representing the area can appoint someone, the Mayor can appoint someone, the representatives representing the district can appoint two members and two of the member can be chosen from the current SG hierarchy.

I'd welcome White on this board of directors, but he'd be crazy to sign up for this job considering all he has to do now.

But that's my opinion.

But there are checks and balances built into the system. Kip could even serve if he wants to serve.

Although the transition district appointees serve without pay or per diem, I am the first to acknowledge that political power of a government position is worth far more to politicians than their paychecks or benefits. Bodi White is not alone in recognizing that fact. EVERY politician and his/her band of cronies lives by that creed.

I agree, and he'd likely appoint someone to the spot who he could expect to do him a favor or favors.

As will every other person or group with appointment powers.

But you might be the only person who has apparently been unable to find the part of the bill that clearly makes your subject line and OP unmistakably false.

White has long worked on commission from his elected positions.

I'd have no problem with amending his bill to state that other than Mayor Holden, no one could appoint him or herself.

I live in NOLA. No connection to this issue.

Russian, your posts read like the lunatic ramblings of an insane mind. The premise of your initial post is clearly FALSE.

Your shift in tactics towards asking for other questions to be answered is just a bait and switch.

Step back from the keyboard. Take a valium.

You're NOT me. Poor you.

And I'm going to attempt to keep this thread on top of the first page as long as I can.

NOLA: top ten food and travel destination. Ranked as one of the best places to do business in the country in 2013. Huge corporate retreat and host city for numerous major trade, corporate, and sporting events.

Who would want BR to be anything like that?
