TP...you da man! Always on the edge of the envelope.

Thanks.

Re 'securing DC'...to the degree that the economy collapses, and the actions of the Government is seen to be responsible (action or inaction)...to the same degree that the populous suffers...they will express the pain of their suffering at the Government. That is not a problem for China, but given our strong Constitutional Freedoms which are essentially God-given, and do NOT come from Government...and the 2nd Amendment which is second in import for an obvious reason...then it is not hard to imagine what comes in the above scenario.

Example: When Pelosi holds up money...and pics of her tearing up Trump's speech are shown (Free Speech) along with her action...well...like Gov. Whitmore up North...the folk are going to rise up and rebel against what they clearly PERCEIVE as Tyranny.

TPI is right..."strap in". They'd better go all in honest up there, and shut down the petty mind games and ego or Ideological-based contention...or hell is going to break loose. It'll be 'pitch forks and ropes' if people truly begin to hurt, and feel they have nothing to lose. The rage will turn on those in power. And those in power know it.

Might need Jesus help on this one. IMO.

I've been on JTF-NCR. A bunch of DC area reservists get called in and select active duty get roped in as a collateral duty to come up with contingency plans and stand watch during NSS-designated events. There's classified stuff but nothing tinfoil except putting a CBRN unit on standby if you are into that.

100% it's being stood up for the presidential election, it's not top secret. It is nuclear (not literal) planning exercises and annoying af to listen to people come up with impossible what-if scenarios.

Some of the biggest dumbasses I've ever seen in our military were on it, up to O4s even. Like every organization, without smart people sprinkled in it to drive the train and avoid the zombie-mind dumbfrickery, it would take a year for them to draft a plan for a banquet. Its a bunch of bureaucrat staffer types with some parade forces working with DC security units and Intel.

WHO...is the "problem", ML?

My Post (opinion/assessment) stands regardless of the information which TP presents.

If God (assuming such exist for the sake of argument), claims obvious credit for ALL that is, and allows (inaction?) for the random and tragic (unjust?) death of an innocent child...then God, gets the BLAME. Same with Government.

With Power comes Moral and Practical responsibility. To the degree that Government becomes more powerful...they will be more responsible. Add that up.

I lay things out in many threads. An example of one that seems disconnected, but relates is below.

What is the most important job for the military in the coming weeks?

“Job No. 1 is keep the eye on the ball of those entities in this world that would take advantage of a crisis like this. That is hard to do when you see how ill-prepared our nation is for something like this. The government has not been doing its job in providing for the common defense and therefore they are leaning on the military far more than they ever should. When you think about the lessons you must learn from this coronavirus, one of them is that we have almost fallen asleep as a society with regard to our preparedness for those things we know will eventually happen. If you prepare for it ahead of time it does not need to be a crisis and it does not need to break the bank.” — Lt. Gen. Steven Kwast, U.S. Air Force retired, former commander of the Air Education and Training Command

Steven L. Kwast is a retired Air Force general and former commander of the Air Education and Training Command at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph. A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy with a degree in astronautical engineering, he holds a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He is a past president of the Air Force’s Air University in Montgomery, Alabama, and a former fighter pilot with extensive combat and command experience. He is the author of the study, “Fast Space: Leveraging Ultra Low-Cost Space Access for 21st Century Challenges.” Beginning in 2010, and coinciding with the opening of Hillsdale College’s Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship on Capitol Hill, the College has hosted an annual Constitution Day Celebration in Washington, D.C. to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. The program—which features speeches, debates, and roundtable discussions—explores the continuing relevance of the Founders’ Constitution for American politics today. Hillsdale College is an independent institution of higher learning founded in 1844 by men and women “grateful to God for the inestimable blessings” resulting from civil and religious liberty and “believing that the diffusion of learning is essential to the perpetuity of these blessings.” It pursues the stated object of the founders: “to furnish all persons who wish, irrespective of nation, color, or sex, a literary, scientific, [and] theological education” outstanding among American colleges “and to combine with this such moral and social instruction as will best develop the minds and improve the hearts of its pupils.” As a nonsectarian Christian institution, Hillsdale College maintains “by precept and example” the immemorial teachings and practices of the Christian faith. The College also considers itself a trustee of our Western philosophical and theological inheritance tracing to Athens and Jerusalem, a heritage finding its clearest expression in the American experiment of self-government under law. By training the young in the liberal arts, Hillsdale College prepares students to become leaders worthy of that legacy. By encouraging the scholarship of its faculty, it contributes to the preservation of that legacy for future generations. By publicly defending that legacy, it enlists the aid of other friends of free civilization and thus secures the conditions of its own survival and independence.

I think the correct entity being referenced is JFHQ-NCR and not JTF-NCR, which appears more geared toward ceremonial preparations and presidential inaugurations/deaths handled in the D.C. area.

So, the military is preparing for a reasonably-foreseeable contingency.

If only the government as a whole had prepared a bit more in January and February.

It doesn't mean they ARE evacuating. I just means they are super duper preparing for that possibility.
Preparing for foreseeable dangers is one of the reasons we HAVE a military.

I have literally presented mainstream articles and their headers

You can critque my speculation, but the info is presented as is from mainstream outlets

I certainly do speculate (as this is a discussion board, lest some forget...)

For those bringing Q (which we speculate is a military op) up...

Don't matter to me, bb; I'll bow to TP's exceptional ability to assimilate and asses relative information regardless of gender. All the better if 'he's' a 'she'. Might earn enough respect that she'll marry me in the next life. Bold women are...we'll...bold...period!

I know this...I'm married to one, still, almost 50 years. Took 10 years off my life, but made a better man of me. Thank the Good Lord.

It means that our Government is not sure they can bail the Economy out of a potential death spiral. They only have one 'bullet'...and that is printing money. And we've debated this for years. If I were the 'government'...I'd be battening down the hatches too. Hell, a lot of Posters on this Forum have done that. Stocked and loaded and woke.
