“For a lot more.”

For those that are unaware, Secoriea Turner was the little girl shot to death by mostly peaceful protesters in south Atlanta near the Rayshard Brooks Wendy’s.

Heard on local 750AM news update.

He should try a lawsuit on the person responsible for the crime.

Sounds like they’re trying the Alton Sterling lawyer strategy

Settle for this number or else it’ll be much, much more. I’m doing y’all a favor letting you off for so little

Blatant threatening. But FWIW I agree that the city should have to pay out, but not in the amount of $12M. It’s the city’s fault that the protests were allowed to continue

Nice arbitrary number they chose.

Tell the family attorney to suck it.

It was disgraceful when she turned on the police and pulled them back.

Paul Howard was shown the door.

Keisha needs to follow him out.

How do you sue a city for typical street crime? Atlanta should call that bluff, even though I would like to see that government bent over a barrel for the handling of Officer Rolfe.

Truth.

The city took (or, more accurately, didn't take) all of the steps necessary to ensure the riots went unchecked.

We don’t have laws anymore.

We have feelings.

Real answer is sovereign immunity is waived if certain elements are met. They will make an argument.

Amen to that.

I have made a pledge to not give the city a dime of my money if I can help it. I love some of the food places down there - MaryMacs, Fox Bros, Hattie Bs - but not enough to go even give sales tax money to the bunch of crooks in city hall.

Thank you, yes.

Also he’s demanding $16M.

Will edit.

This will happen more and more in cities that defund the police hopefully and I hope victims win their cases.

The city didn't break up the "blockade" near the Wendy's.
