For starters it could play in the fall elections. And secondly, let's not act like there's never gonna be another Dem prezzie. There will. Sacrifice something small now, or risk they take something bigger later. . Think about it.

Obama didn't even touch gun control with a supermajority in the House and Senate.

There's a reason for that.

This gun control mess exposes, immediately, someone who lacks the ability to reason with intellect as it is fully being trumped by knee jerk emotion. I made something to this effect last night as a slogan...

Gun Free Zones: Because Assuring The Criminal Aggressor Is The Only One Armed Makes So Much Sense!

It is that simple...

What exactly do you expect the minority party in the House, Senate, and with a Republican President to do? Stomp their feet and write harshly worded memos?

The same thing they did when they were the majority party with a Democrat President.

You think arming teachers would stop school shootings? Have you seen some of the teachers out there?

Nope, neither would criminalizing guns...

shite in China they have mass stabbings in schools on occasion

What it does is give people a chance to stop a mass murder

You have parents of dead kids begging the president to do something. You think it's good optics to say "sorry - on to infrastructure!"???

This is an isssue that isn't isolated to the hard left like many of you seem to think. People relate to this. Failure to do something will have an impact.

There was the same when Obama was in office and the House and Senate was held by Democrats.

What laws were passed?

He spent his limited time and political capital on healthcare and the economic reform.

-Citizens want dialogue about gun control
-Mouth breathers: “stop screaming about gun control”

-Innocent people killed by terrorist in a van
-Citizens want dialogue about safety
-Mouth breathers: “ban all the Muslims”

Why do you need political capital when you can just ram a bill through like Obamacare?

Again, Heller.

Obama gambled that the ACA would stand up to SCOTUS scrutiny and won. He knew any gun control bill was DOA.

Guys - I'm pro 2nd amendment and all MAGA. I feel like you're missing the big picture here. So this is as clearly as I can put it:

If the GOP can't be seen as part of the solution, they WILL be painted as part of the problem.

None of us want that.

Well let's revisit this thread when the Dems do something if the GOP won't. And I can promise whatever the Dems do will be a lot less gun friendly than what the GOP could do. In fact, the resistance to do something might even swing voters this fall. Dems are already asking for it.

I’ll believe it when I see it. If this nation can look at the pure evil that unfolded at Sandy Hook and do nothing, what happened in Florida sure isn’t gonna do it.

Your play on semantics is wrong.

First off a gun doesnt kill people. It is a means to an end. Grant it it is an easier end than say, youe fists, but it is an end still, nonetheless.

Muslims, or rather radical Muslims, that believe in a Jihad against Western Culture are a threat based off of their own religious beliefs. Anyone associated with such beliefs whether Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Jewish, or other ahould be dealt with according to the law.

In terms of the "Muslim ban" you obviously are referencing it is being proactive to block certain areas temporarily to have them vetted before gaining access to our land. No one, at least not me, believes in keeping anyone out who wishes to come here peacefully while following our laws.

But, back to the point. A gun is not alive. It isnt a threat in and of itself. It is inanimate. It takes a killer to make it shoot. We want all those types in jail or out of our country if possible.

Why can't we simply monitor every individual's entry to a school compound. There are those that should be there and those that shouldn't. They do it at airports.

I'll consider talking about gun control after these bleeding heart liberals get their liberal buddies in Hollywierd to stop making movies that glorifies killing.
