People in both political parties better watch out for those who know how to use Twitter:

So in Cortez's universe, the kid who found a way to shorten the chore time for all kids and made millions off this idea, all the while employing thousands and giving others more time to be productive in other things, deserves to be taxed at an astronomical rate simply for having and implementing a highly profitable idea.

I love how, in her world, there's always an evil rich person lurking in the shadows

The problem is, she's lying... They aren't just coming for the billionaires $... They are coming for everyone's $... This song has been played over & over throughout history.

Yes...because no billionaire ever started with a $10/hr job.

They all stole it or inherited it (from someone in their family that stole it...obviously) so they should be punished by the government and the money given to those that are less evil.

I'm not sure about how witty it is, but at least it isn't a logical fallacy like Walker's argument.

It's hard to encourage innovation and achievement by punishing it.

It's a fallacy that people think they're entitled to 70% of your shite?

Her useful idiots thrive on boogeymen and emotion. That’s what makes her dangerous.

Or we could give a tax break for R&D (or find another means of stimulating innovation) AND take money off the sidelines from billionaires to pay for infrastructure, education, and the godforsaken wall (I guess).

Walker isn't presenting an argument, he is making an analogy.

And AOC, with her immense intellect, proceeds to take a base analogy and treat it as a case study?

I mean. . .what?

Why do billionaires deserve to pay a greater percentage of their income than someone who makes 20k a year?

Most billionaires are either born into wealth have been extremely fortunate to be at the right place at the right time. It's ludicrous to assume that ultra rich people have "earned" it as honestly as the rest of us. We're not talking doctors, lawyers, accountants, etc. We're talking about people with more money than them or their families will ever need.

AOC:

"You're poor so it's ok for you to not pay your "fair shair" or anything at all because that shadowy selfish rich bastard has more than you and even though he pays more taxes than anyone, it's not enough to off set your 0 contribution. And that's not fair to you."

Walker is arguing against the lunacy of it, but he needs to speak in facts as opposed to nonsense. Here are the proper rebuttals

1) rates are already progressive, such that the top 1% earn 35% of all income but pay 59% of all taxes.

2) The pool this rate would impact is very small, and would not generate the revenue necessary to push her non-sensical radical agenda

3) historically rates at this level are seldom realized because it becomes cheaper to engage in tax avoidance strategies

If I have two arms and the guy next to me has none, I'm going to help him carry his things.

For the record, I make good money and I feel that I should pay a higher rate than people who make $50k a year because I already have everything I want and need. And trust me, people making $10 million a year don't care about the money. It's just the measuring stick for success. Money for the ultra rich is about ego, not about what it can buy.
