Our usuals will soon be here to lament the fact that someone dared to challenge their religion of global warming

Edit: yep, there's bob

The warming HAS BEEN CONSISTENT OVER 20,000 years. What was causing the warming 15,000 thousand years ago? Not man.. or industrialization. What was causing it 10,000 years ago?Not man.. or industrialization. What was causing it 5,000 years ago? Not man.. or industrialization... 2,500- ditto, 1,500 ditto and on and on. The earth is over 4.5 billions years old. A twenty-thousand year span is a spit in the pan.

Well yeah, any non government funded thermal/climate researcher has came to the same conclusion. Climate Change is real but man made climate change 100% is not a thing.

The authors concluded that just under 10% of the increase in temperature (over the last 100 years) attributed to an increase in atmospheric CO2 is man made.

That's not the big picture and ignores deforestation, other GHGs, etc.. but by itself it is still additional confirmation that man has the ability to change the climate.

I think when people say this they are either exagerating or they are deflecting. Man obviously has an effect, the problem is we aren't going to be able to solve anything in with public sector solutions.

Public sector has largely solved our water and air quality problems, no?

Regulation has reduced pollution. We are talking about global temperatures I thought?

If you really believe that global warming is man-made and the earth is going to be destroyed in 12-15 years then you should immediately call your representatives in Congress and tell them to declare war on China, India, and Vietnam. They are the worst polluters. What America and Europe does want make a freaking difference. If America and Europe spend trillions on some non-existent fantasy of world-wide lefties than they will maintain control of the governments, but China will gain world dominance and we will all speaking speaking some dialect of Chinese.

1. Climate has been changing since the beginning of time and will continue to change until the end of time.

2. Most scientists who study man made global warming will lose thier job if the Earth is not warming and if man is not the cause.

Of course they find the situation dire.

Climate change has allowed for trees to grow in climates that use to be too cold.

There's more trees now than 25 years ago you tard!

What else you got, farting cows?

Global warming alarmism is why my kids will learn Mandarin when they are young. Funny thing is too, the Chinese couldn't give less fricks about the global temperature if they are in charge, so any efforts to combat their emissions will be undone

Mo Brooks has this up on his sit: "BIPARTISAN PANEL OF SCIENTISTS CONFIRMS HUMANS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PAST 20,000 YEARS OF GLOBAL WARMING." one of the best articles I have read. Earth has been warming for 20,000 years at a consistent rate. A hell of a long time before the Industrial Revolution.

Unfortunately, the panel did not say what you seem to wish they said. This was simply a cross-examination where the panel was asked a question that if they answered honestly and in a limited fashion it would elicit an agreement. This is a classic cross technique and I have used it 100s of times. The key is Brooks hopes the "jury" will hear the agreement as an agreement to a question he did not ask, which you apparently did.

Dr. Moon recognizes this tactic and responds fully when it becomes clear that Brooks was only allowing a single answer then moves on to the next panelist in hopes they proffer the same simple answer to his non-germane question:

"Brooks: Dr. Moon?

Moon: Humans weren’t around in nearly the numbers we are today, so we certainly were not available to be combusting fossil fuels at the rate we are today are putting emissions into the atmosphere. You can consider, we have built America in the last 243 years and we’re changing things at a much more rapid rate.

Brooks: So, you also agree then that the global warming that has occurred over the last 20,000 years at 11 degree Fahrenheit increase in temperature, was not human caused, at least, when it began 20,000 years ago?

Moon: So, I would agree that when it began 20,000 years ago when we were coming out of the last glacial that was not caused by humans. The warming of the last 100 years, most certainly was.

Brooks: Out of curiosity, why do you or how do you explain that the sea level rise average of the last 20,000 years has been 2 feet per century, yet we are down to 1 foot per century?

Moon: So, much of our rise in sea levels that you are talking about came earlier in that 20,000 years.

Brooks: Over six or seven thousand years.

Moon: Over this last 10,000 years, we have been sitting with vary stable sea levels and those stable sea levels have allowed us to develop the coast of the world."

Dr. Moon would simply not be corralled into his tactics.

Brooks then tried to cut the panel off but Dr. Pfeffer added to the retort of Dr. Moon.

So Brooks cleared up the absolute non-issue of whether humans were responsible for the global warming that started 20,000 years ago up to the industrial revolution. He is hoping people reading this release will see the panel all agreeing to a completely different question and Moon and Pfeffer made it clear that the panel agreed with what he asked but did not agree with the salient question he wanted it to appear they agreed with.

Now while you don't have to agree with the panel regarding the recent impact of humans on global warming one has to be pretty slow to think he got agreement on the real question.

The problem with using a cross technique like this outside of a courtroom is ones inability to have the judge limit the answers to yes/no from the one testifying. He did try to cut it off with the time issue but the real thoughts of the panel were already out. The sad thing is there are people that will only read the headline or be unable to understand exactly what went on.

Not all trees are created equal.. gains in high altitude species and losses in tropical species. And part of the reason there are more trees now than ~35 years ago is because of changes in human behavior. Governments regulating land use, developing sustainable practices, etc.

Reforestation is the cheapest way to make a difference

I'm confused. Al Gore said the science is settled. How can this be?
