Science is infallible with regards to climate change but doesn’t apply to genders

Same logic applies to the 1st Amendment for lefties. If they agree with it, it's all good. If they disagree with it, it's "hate" speech and the speaker needs to be destroyed, both personally and professionally.

I understand the point you're trying to make, but fwiw gender is not the same thing as biological sex. Sex is a biological state determined by your chromosomes, as well as pysiological aspencts of your body (like do you have a penis or a vag). Gender refers to the roles, expectations and perceptions within a society for the two sexes.

Is that what we’re being told? Is that really a man who wants us to pretend he’s a woman because that’s what he prefers or are we supposed to believe and accept that he is literally a woman because of his mere whim? Just because they want to create a separate pseudo-sex category called gender doesn’t mean that they are anything more than a defined sex pretending to be something else.

No, and as I said to the OP, I get the point he's trying to make. But if we're going to make a point about science, we ought to use the correct terms. Sex is science. Gender is a construct which is influenced by biologial sex and other factors.

"Science" is arbitrary to the leftists!

I firmly believe in climate change. A large part of our weather are due to sunspots which are cyclic. We are in a period of increased sunspot activity, which results in increased temperatures on earth.

However, I am very skeptical about global warming. The mathematics used in global warming calculations is the same heat transfer equations used by engineers. The Laplace Transforms have an exact solution only for a flat surface. (I've never believed the flat earth people either, so I question the validity of what they claim to be doing.)

Also, there are a lot of assumptions, leaving out some "bothersome" facts, and a lot of hand-waving going on.

Are the politicians using "global warming" as a pretense to push income redistribution? (I'm gonna stay out of the gender bit; my doctorate is in chemistry & engineering, not genetics.)
