The first word of this sentence just taught me something I would have never realized as a white male. The word negro is being used as a negative connotation between to blacks. I didnt know blacks denigrated each other like this.

It depends on the context really. Negative in this instance obviously but sometimes a term of endearment.
Basically if the speaker is mad already, "negro" is a bad thing (but not the worst pejorative
)

I see white people disagreeing on politics everyday, it's refreshing to see a black conservative and a black hardcore leftist go at it for a change.
Also, black conservatives are pretty rare (although we do have some outstanding ones that post regularly) so, for me, seeing an exchange like that is kinda like seeing a leprechaun.

Ha. Agreed. But I've seen enough of T's body of work to think that he is actually more offended by black liberals than white racists...or at least he seems capable of ignoring one and not the other. which is why I like to mess with him about it.

Tbird, one of my best friends in HS was a black guy who was fun as hell to be around. We partied together, went to Spring break together, etc.. He was one of 2 black dudes who all the white jocks and preppies ran with all the time. Dude stayed at my house like he was my brother and he was from an upper class family.
He went to Morehouse to study law and underwent the biggest 180 I have ever seen. He became the biggest racist after a few years I have ever seen. Suddenly hated white people and went to work for the NAACP. The guy literally turned into Farrakhan. I tried talking to him later and he would stop just short of calling me a racist and I could tell he was very conflicted when faced with pinning his new adopted idealogy on his former white friends who had treated him as a friend and brother.
Very sad.
