This reminds me of when Trump declared the wave of some 50k illegal migrants crossing our southern border monthly, a national emergency and was absolutely panned by liberals for being so self-indulgent and reckless with the system.

Trump should send Nancy home, then issue a quarantine order... For National Security of course...

Let's see how things shake out. The doctor who sounded the alarm in China was punished for doing so. Sadly, he has died from the disease. He was only 34.

This virus is more deadly that the 1918 pandemic in that over 2% of cases end in death as compared to an estimated 1.5% in 1918.

It is also easily transmitted.

People with the virus may remain symptom free for over 14 days, but during that time can infect other people.

This sucker is dangerous. Treating it lightly is foolish.

She wants to draw federal dollars and subvert normal bid process for contracts. It’s a scheme to enrich themselves without the scrutiny generally required by law.

How do you know what the death rate will be in western nations, given the limited sample size in such places and that even in a 3rd worldish shithole it was only 2%?

But illegal immigration, homelessness, feces in streets, drug epidemic, etc., all of which ARE happening in San Francisco, are not emergencies?

They went on TV ranting about how the Asians of San Fransico were being discriminated against. Left wing lunacy at its finest.

I bet it already has. Bet the homeless death numbers are up and they’re not testing the corpses. I’m in Cali and I can tell you, if word gets out the homeless are spreading the infection, the large tent cities will be set ablaze by fed up locals trying to protect their families. Locals (productive people with homes) already deal with property crimes, harassment on the street, feces, and needles on the street.

That would be one way to tackle the homelessness problem in SF.

Certainly more effective than paying them fricking money and refusing to cite them.

Yessir. I’ve had it over here. We absolutely could arrest our way out of the problem, but prosecutors and politicians love a crisis.

What action is she taking for this state of emergency?

Pretty sure it won't entail cracking down on the homeless antics and open drug use.

These Counties in CA are getting in line early for the 8 billion the Democrats want, so they can piss it away on State handouts and graft.

because that is the golden ticket to unlock millions in federal money to waste on liberal "feels" projects

no one will be willing to denounce her for it since tomorrow could bring a case of corona and no one wants to be the guy who said they dont have any cases
