I get the feeling $1 per year would be too much to you.

If you paid less, you would be able to afford the local news guy from Odessa, Tx but not the guy from Midland, Tx.

in other news, a friend of the family will lose her job. UC-Berkeley grad.
family to feed.

My wife and I both watch listen to some of NPR's stuff.
I subscribed to their website.

Trump has silenced the press.

is that supposed to be good?

Its something that happens in Africa
Totalitarian regime specialty.

Then they should be able to sustain themselves with no federal aid

Trump has silenced the press.

Think for yourself don't be told what to think.
When did the news start having opinions and telling you how to feel and think.

The news media has not been infringed or held back.

Trump is free to have his own opinions and voice them too and if it causes a business to fail or dwindle al the better.

I enjoy npr when they just have news updates on world events and the Sunday game show setup I listen to on long drives.
But their political views are extremely biased and opinionated. And therefore should not be funded by the government. They can go independent and forget this faux not taking side platform they have.

I will miss the classical music ever though, we could trim it down exponentially and keep classical radio.
Maybe just a national classical radio

Just to be fair NPR only gets around 2% of its budget from the government.

GTFO with your bullshite.

The Fourth Estate is hysterical with hate for Trump and they are working overtime as the Ministry of Propaganda for the Democrat Party.

The "press" have completely abandoned all of their journalistic principles and are now engaging in aggressive propaganda attacks on the POTUS.

Radiolab, Planet Money, This American Life, Car Talk, Freakonomics, etc. are all NPR or affiliated programs and podcasts.

So I guess these are all more topic specific programs, but they are some of the best programming out there.

And then you respond with that crap in return. Some have foregone truth, and that's inexcusable.

But I suspect some of your histrionics are because of a lack of truth, but a view that is not consistent with you're own.

Maybe I'm wrong though, so I hope you are equally as critically of dishonest sources that happen to be more aligned with your views.

Car talk is in reruns only last I heard.

It's due to the death of one of the brothers.
