NATO is a defensive pact.
I don't think the U.S. has to participate in Euro/Nato offensive operations.

Interesting, if the Eastern Europeans are to be believed, it was Russia who has wanted war, which has been the impetus for Poland's reorganization of their armed forces. That group has been the most hawkish since the end of the CW. I wonder why that is.

what am i missing here? i saw the arms race statement(which is actually good for the US if rest of nato is willing to spend) and i saw statements from so called democracy heros...but what am i missing statement wise from poland that they would send in troops?

Correct, unless one of the NATO countries is directly attacked. Like if Poland, Germany, and France sent troops to Ukraine and started fighting Russia that would not invoke article 5 but if Russia carried out a missile strike inside one of those countries it would. Or at least that's my understanding of it, I might be completely wrong though and just talking out my arse
