More background on this. Tomorrow the Russians, Turks, and Iranians are meeting about Syria. This was almost certainly aimed at disrupting relations between Russia and Turkey. Given that the gunman supposedly yelled about Aleppo leads to the possibility that this gunman is associated with the FSA or other rebel groups in the area.

The left still blames Bush for problems today from his presidency 8 years later. I think we still have some time to blame Barak for all his BS too.

ETA: Damn! Beat by a second.

Well, to be fair, had Obama had even a modicum of competency, Syria would be a contained regional conflict instead of an International crisis pitting Russia against a reluctant Nato member. All set against the backdrop of the largest humanitarian crisis of modern times, and a sea of Muslim immigration into Europe with all that entails. Obama had a special kind of fail here, equal to or surpassing in historical importance to Bush/Iraq 2003.

I agree it's a shite show. Not sure how he was supposed to handle it absent a large contingent of American boots on the ground, but that doesn't really matter.

It's a shite show and it will be his shite show for the foreseeable future.
