It was also an Act of War by the British government. I hope they can right their ship but they are not a friend to the Republic as things currently stand.

I was watching something on Sasha Cohen getting sued by the town folks in Kazakhstan after Borat was released for defamation for 30 million dollars. The movie production had done their work and had all of the release forms signed. The case was quickly dismissed.
the production company did make a donation to the city. The amount? 5 thousand dollars.

I encountered Yoo over 20 years ago when I was a newly minted employee at the DOJ.
He was known to be formidable.
He was also known to be dirty.
He’s squarely within the neocon orbit.
It was widely thought that he could be indicted under Holder for stretching (and according to some, inventing and breaking) legal justification for torture, rendition, and a variety of issues related to Iraq and the war on terror.
Then poof… nothing ever happened. And words regarding Yoo disappeared completely.
I wouldn’t trust him. At all.
Smells like a plant.
