If we had political leaders with some balls that would cancel the debt with China because they purposely spread Covid around the world and used it as a bio weapon then this move wouldn’t matter and we could strangle both these totalitarian regimes out overnight. Could be a good thing to get those 2 linked together then bring down China overnight if Congress would show some courage for a change.

Yes. Some financial types brought it up as soon as the talk of banning Russia from SWIFT was floated.
Saying the US/Euros may be shooting their face off in their rush to punish Russia.

China only holds a small portion of US foreign held debt, which in itself is a small portion of our total debt, most of which we owe to ourselves.
The importance of China-owned US debt is wildly dramatized.

Russia's GDP is about the same as Florida's. It's not the end of the world by any stretch of your imagination.

I was asking about china taking over as the world currency not Russia. I china’s gdp is less than the US but more investments seem to be going to them from other countries.
