One need not love Russia to fully recognize that the USA cased this Ukrainian fallout with the US State Dept stolen election and steps taken after the 2014 coup.

THATS IN THE AIR, AS IN OVERHEAD, WHICH IS EXACTLY WHERE A NUCLEAR BOMB IS DESIGNED TO BLOW UP, OVERHEAD. So with a nuke it doesnt matter if its traveling 10 times the speed of light, much less sound, even if we could blow it up it would blow up right where they want it.

But I guess being super duper sonic gives you an extra 15 minutes so there is that.

The US has a triad delivery system, subs, planes, and land based, no way they could take them out. And most people think our nukes are like Hiroshima. The ones in our arsenal are far more powerful, and many of them have multiple warheads as well.

Any weapon the enemy has, we already have, hillary probably sold them our tech. But rest assured, there are many a screamer out there trying to get us to invest yet another trillion to defeat the next weapon.

Exactly. Would an aircraft carrier be vulnerable to a cruise middle? We know both the Chinese and Russians have that technology. Many of our recent fights have been with goat herders and cave dwellers who still have us a good run for our money. China will take Taiwan and the alliance with Russia is just going to get tighter with all the sanctions.

Iirc, Iron dome missiles fly beside the incoming missiles, then self detonate...taking the inbound missiles out in the process.

To your point, to use a similar system, my guess is that it would have to be carried by subs to where the intercept would be made closer to the launch point. That doesn’t help Europe much, but we could (potentially) be protected to a degree.

Now, lasers from Space, maybe. But wasn’t that bandied about in the 80’s. Additionally, haven’t both the Chinese and Russians show the capability of taking down satellites?

I said I don’t believe that the Russians have such a capability. However, I also question the asshat that claimed that we have the ability to defend against it, then bailed on the thread.
