I see DC being shaken to its core and before the second year is up, a high turnover rate. Trump gets what he wanted in the first place.

I could see him leaving the position open to make direct oversight more practical for his inner-circle. I could see him installing a wrecker secretary as he has with the DoJ and HHS. However, I do not think shuttering the department will make it out of the house to be quite honest.

Furthermore, part of the reason we ended up with the DoEd was because of government inefficiency for local and state school systems dealing with federal programs from a litany of agencies charged with various education initiatives. It is curious that an administration who wants more efficiency would axe the Department of Education rather than just ripping out the parts that are counter to their ideological commitments.

Seems a push being made by Musk and RFK Jr for Lutnick as Treasury Secretary.

Chris Wright named head of department of energy. Per Trump’s post on Truth Social. Dude sounds like an energy badass.

His "energy company" is Liberty Energy which provides hydraulic fracturing based on ESG, yes ESG, they "lower" the carbon footprint by using less or no diesel powered frac pumps. They use CNG, LPG or electric driven.

FBI Director -

This is normally not a job that is appointed by the new administration and is a 10 yr appointment term. Trump caught a lot of shite for firing Comey although Rod Rosenstein did it.
.
Trump hired Christopher Wray and would have to fire him to replace him. I think that is why you see a Matt Gaetz type AG appointment. Trump needs someone to dig up bodies in the FBI, ATF, CIA, etc and purge them.

Wray is a dead man walking. He will resign in January.

I would certainly support it. I am not sure what the process is for doing that. Wray wont be resigning because of a new admin coming in
