Current federal policy bars the purchase of foreign sand unless economic or environmental factors make using domestic sand impossible.
quote:
“This bipartisan bill will modernize an outdated law to give the Army Corps of Engineers greater flexibility in acquiring the sand Florida beaches so desperately need," he said. "Beach renourishment protects our infrastructure and environment, and provides a vital buffer against hurricanes and storms. Our beautiful shores also bring visitors from across the world, and these coastlines are economic drivers for the surrounding communities."

The federal government bans importing sand to protect our eroding coastlines. Rubio the only person in the Senate with enough Foresight to see our coastlines are our lifelines is standing up to protect the American people. This is another example of exactly why we need Marco.

Squeeze the sand out of obamas refugees before sending them back

It was a Muslim sand ban.

Wha? I went to the beach last week! Sand was coarse and got everywhere! Erosion is a hoax!

I'll admit I don't understand this at all.
Is there not sand here we can dredge and use?

Trying to hold back the tide? The only way replacing the sand is practical is setting up a dredge and pumping it. The volume needed is too great to make it worthwhile to transport this large a quantity. The problem with dredging is the sand isn't bleached by the sun so it's not as white. It also contains alot of crushed shells that make it rough on your feet.

Why not an anti-gravity act?

He should sue the moon

Please, keep getting more and more obscure. I want to hear that Marco had corn flakes for breakfast, and how his eye for nutritional food choices displays his leadership abilities.

They ain't going to have it in the panhandle....you cant get sand anywhere on earth like that in Pensacola. I had a house in Milton florida that was destroyed by a hurricane and when we were rebuilding they had severe state penalties for bringing sand or fill dirt of any sort into the county from outside because it would taint the soil in the area....the state had inspection sites set up to keep folks from bringing fill material in from out of the area....and now they are going to use brown and grey sand??? Not a chance in the world....

The warmwers have been telling us the coastlines will be underwater by next summer, anyway.

When the ocean is encroaching on homes and businesses they will think otherwise.

Look at that spread collar. So youthful, yet his lapels aren't too aggressive.
