"Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein told peers that he was angry over how President Trump used him to justify firing former FBI Director James Comey last year, The New York Times reported Friday.

Rosenstein has repeatedly confided to colleagues that the scandal damaged his reputation, according to four people familiar with the issue.

Publicly, the top Justice Department official has repeatedly defended the letter he penned condemning Comey’s job performance. But, internally, Rosenstein appeared conflicted on the matter, the Times reported.

Sources told the Times that Rosenstein believed Trump had manipulated him and his letter, which criticized the FBI's handling of the 2016 investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, in order to rationalize Comey's firing."

Rosy sends a letter to Trump which states that Comey is not fit to be F Bee I director. Trump fires Comey, and Rosy feels used.
Can Trump just fire Rosy now? Trump can't have a person like this in the DOJ. Trump can not trust him. If he is going to be that sensitive when Trump acts on his words, then he will start covering up information instead of being transparent because he will be too scared Trump might act on his words.
FIRE ROSY NOW!!!!

Rosenstein doesn’t have the courage to stand behind what he wrote?

What a coward.

The FBI has a history of manipulating people. It’s about time somebody manipulated them.

How is it that the top two people at DOJ are total pieces of shite?

And yet nothing but tweets from Trump. He needs to stop playing games with our fricking justice system.

Trump has been getting some bad advice. He needs to fire his advisors and hire new ones. Trump should have fired Rosy when Rosy did NOT recuse himself of the Trump/Russia investigation and obstruction of justice investigation. Sessions should have fired Rosy because Rosy told Sessions that Sessions had to recuse himself, but Rosy did not recuse himself when he needed to do it.

Trump needs to fire both of them. Before firing both of them Trump needs to consult each one of his advisors separately, and ask them one question: "Should I fire Rosy and Sessions." Whoever says, "No." is fired immediately.
Hire a new AG that will clean up the DOJ. There are so many nobama holdovers that our country will not have justice until those people are gone.

I'd love to know what he thinks his reputation is. I'm going to go out on a limb and say this guy is a permanent resident of the DC reality distortion bubble.

True cool. I think he went to the same class as Mueller, Comey, Wray, Strzok, the hubris is just unbelievable.

He is the one who appointed Mueller. No one was holding a gun to his head.

He is sounding like Comey did.

It's Trump's fault the FBI is useless and unaccountable.

Is he a HS girl passed over for the prom or the DAG. Felt used. Felt conflicted. Try acting like a professional politician.

Grow some balls and act like a man. He is just a little bitch.
