I visited the Reagan Library today for the Pompeii Exhibit and then headed to the Library side to see Air Force One and everything Reagan. I listened to dozens of sound clips of RR speeches. I saw great photos of RR engaged in diplomacy. He had the respect of the world leaders when he walked in a room. He was engaging, articulate, and had a confidence about him that was surreal. We have so many politicians and so few statesman. I encourage all of you to take a visit.

And liberals hated him too.

Which goes to show if you're good for America, you're bad for Democrats.

Yeah. I’ve learned guys like him are extremely rare. Both a statesman and can get results

Rare combo indeed.

Liberals hate anyone that wants freedom and for people to take care of themselves and actually work and be prosperous.

In other words, liberals are lying, crooks and they are lazy useless bums. They’re basically serving no purpose and are a drain on society.

I love the Reagan library. It’s only about a 1.5 hour drive away from my home

They have a room dedicated to media bias and outrage against RR, starting during 1980 election. Th video in the room is a stirring complication of all the outlandish, paranoid, cartoonish media depictions of him.

The DC and NY media absolutely viewed him as an unrefined, unsophisticated cowboy actor.

Don’t let anyone tell you he was respected by major newspapers

He spoke at my graduation and handed me my diploma. The speech was live on C-SPAN and one of the last before his Alzheimers set in. I listen to that speech often.

And yet, the DNC/MSM Political Complex constantly portrayed him as an “Amiable Dunce” who practiced “Voodoo Economics”, and a “cowboy” who was going to destroy the world with nuclear fire, while dreaming of “Star Wars”.

Nothing has changed.

Went there last year when I took the bride to LA. Been a big RR fan years. Got a shirt, ornament, book, and stuck then entrance sticker on my RTIC cooler.

Oddly enough, was wearing the RR Tee on the way back from spring break last week. Older guys walks up to me at a rest stop and said he "had to see if that really was RR on my shirt, I was to young to vote for him". Didn't get to vote for him but he is my favorite Prez.

Since 90% of you weren't even alive when Reagan was president, let me clue you in on something.
The liberals may not have liked him but they respected him. Unlike trump that only has the respect of the trumpanzees.

Sounds like fake news. After all, contemporary media established RWR as doltish, semi-senile, and a near-criminal warmonger. /s

And let me clue you in on something you stupid shite, two of the three networks would not even air parts of his acceptance at the convention because they said his film was "propaganda", does that sound like respect to you, or the same petty shite we deal with today like your post?????????

Social media and barely even 24 hr news cycles (mostly editorializing) from countless sources has turned the country rabid these days. It's a witches brew I say. It'd be interesting to drop Reagan into present day U.S. and observe his reactions for a few weeks.

I just study history not some asinine interpretation of it. Democrats served up articles of impeachment on Reagan....does that sound like respect????

And then in typical fashion, you take a thread about Reagan and somehow turn it into a bashing of Trump supporters....like some 16 year old.

I'd enjoy visiting this. I've only seen it in pictures and video.

And yet that shot of the hanger won't be big enough if Trump decides to follow suit.
