I think Ron could convert some of the TDS wine moms out there, but what do I know?

Obama had the best silver tongue I've heard in quite a while for a politician. How'd that turn out? Just saying. Words are nice but actions are better.
DeSantis's actions have been pretty solid, I'd say

But would he have fun rallies and call people stupid names?

I don't understand why conservatives are trying to paint Ron in a bad light. We have two excellent candidates in Ron and Trump. Why not let the primary play out, and make the choice then. I'm happy with both candidates.

Most aren't conservatives. They are populists.

It's OnlyTrumpers, not conservatives doing this

Because they aren't conservatives. They're loyalists. They always have been, and some of us pointed this out seven years ago.

I’m about halfway through and it’s glaring how much better of a speaker DeSantis is compared with Trump. And not just better at public speaking, he’s very articulate and explains his policies and thoroughly backs them up explaining why he did what he did.
Desantis is a smart dude....but you're missing the most important aspect of why Desantis is an impressive orator....at this point he's a career politician.

Ron SeSantis interview with Ben Shapiro
Did Ben ask Ron about funding the war in Ukraine? What about his position on trade with China? Is Ron okay with the People's Bank of China devaluing the yuan to prop up their cheap manufacturing to the competitive detriment of U.S. manufacturers? How does Ron feel about Nork Korea provocations right now? What would his approach be to Kim Jong-un? Did Ron explain his justification behind his vote to give the executive branch (Obama at the time) the authority to fast track the Trans Pacific Partnership? Is Ron okay with the TPP board members enforcing environmental, shipping and tariff regulations on US companies (and not the U.S. congress and president) as a condition to trade with TPP member countries while China is allowed to escape TPP rules while still trading with TPP countries? Did Ben ask Ron if he is okay with sending US troops to Ukraine to fight Russia if the war becomes dire for Ukraine? Did Ben ask Ron about the Southern border? Is Ron for more southern border wall construction? Any talk about the fentanyl problem?

Listening to the interview now. I admit that I haven't followed Desantis closely, but his strategy and commitment to his plan is admirable.
I'll still refuse to pick a hard side. I'll vote in the primary for whichever one I believe will lead most effectively, but won't be disappointed with either candidate. In a perfect world, I'd like Trump a second term then Ron for 8 after that. But there are some other benefits going with Ron in 24.

He will never expose himself to an interview with a clear intellectual superior.

Ben Shapiro is a liberal grifter who grew up on Hollywood TV sets not sure how he was able to weasel his way into becoming the "conservatives" spokesman
Of course Desantis interviewed with him

Nope. It'd be even easier to bait Trump into looking like a moron.

Trump CAN discuss policy, don’t get me wrong. At about a third grade level. On the other hand, Shapiro has pretty good mastery of almost any policy subject, at a graduate level. It would take about five minutes for Trump to start blustering and hurling insults

This. He is great for his state, I think Washington would eat him up. Even though I would vote for him as POTUS. But the Dems are salivating at taking over Florida so they can reverse all the good he's done there.

STDtiger/Cobra Tate/Tom Shelby back with the misinformation.
Shapiro has been a conservative his whole life.
No reason for Shapiro not to interview DeSantis.
Trump, on the other hand, gives interviews to left wing media journalists Haberman and Woodward. Than wonders why they don't run glowing articles about his greatness. Trump is now suing Woodward.
